My name is Peter Naylin and I come from a respectable Karen family from Myanmar. My ancestors were Karen leader/politicians and as such most of the older generation knows my ancestors. U Loo Nee (one of the founders of Dawkalu Association), Mr. Sydney Loo Nee (speaker of the House of Representatives and leader of the Karen Goodwill Mission to England) as well as Sir Dr. San C.Po are my grandfathers/granduncle from my father’s side. I studied in Yangon, Thailand and Indonesia and eventually got my degree from Curtin University majoring in Finance/Accounting. In 2006, I started to study in Sydney and migrated since then to Australia and currently live in Perth. Presently I am working with Mining Industry as Inventory Specialist. With my background in Finance I have volunteered with Karen Welfare Association, WA, first as an accountant and now I am the acting Treasurer of the Association. I am happy to help my own people in a foreign land and hope I can be of more help in the future.
